[God's Providence] 13. Covenants given to the overcomer (1)

13. Covenants given to the overcomer (1)

Last time, I told you that the name of the one to harvest is the "one like a son of man," and that he is also foretold in the book of Daniel. This time, we will discuss the first of the seven covenants given to him by Jesus.

Jesus wanted the overcomer to appear among believers in order to give him the mission of the "one like a son of man."
So, Jesus left the overcomer seven promises in the book of Revelation.
The first is that Jesus will give him the fruit of the tree of life in God's paradise. (Revelation 2:7)

God worried that sinful Adam would eat the fruit of life, so God cast him out. (Genesis 3:22)
And after that, God promised the fruit of life to no one.
Therefore, he who overcomes is the first human being promised the fruit of life.

Since the fruit of life cannot be eaten by sinners, we can know that the one who overcomes is the first to be washed of his sins in the history of mankind.
Of course, there have already been the martyrs who were purchased by the blood of Jesus, but this was done after they had gone to the spirit world, not in this world.
So, the overcomer is the first person whose sins are washed away with the blood of Jesus on earth.

The reason Jesus washes away the overcomer’s sins is that the sins of others shall be washed away through him.
The channel to deliver the living water, the blood of Jesus, must be cleansed first so that the living water can be delivered intact.
That is why Jesus washes him first and entrusts him with the living water. (Revelation 21:6-7)

This time, we learned that the overcomer is the first one to be given the fruit of the tree of life in the history of mankind. Next time, we will discuss the second covenant.
