[Truth] 11. How does the overcomer relate to the olive tree?

11. How does the overcomer relate to the olive tree?

He who Jesus bestows the harvest mission is the overcomer of Revelation. To be the overcomer means to qualify for the harvest mission, and his name is set aside. It is an olive tree. As you will see, the olive tree was foretold as two people. Then, how many overcomers are there?

11.1. Inheritance of the Spring Water of Life
Jehovah has promised the overcomer the spring water of life as his inheritance.
He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. (Revelation 21:6-7)
Jehovah made this spring water of life, a sin-washing material, at Jesus' sacrifice (Zechariah 13:1)
Therefore, he who overcomes will wash away the sins of his followers with this spring water and enable qualified persons to go to God. That is the harvest mission.
On the other hand, in the book of Zechariah, two works of living water were foretold. It will be a unique day, without daytime or nighttime--a day known to the LORD. When evening comes, there will be light. On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half to the eastern sea and half to the western sea, in summer and in winter. (Zechariah 14:7-8)
The olive tree is scheduled for two; therefore, two overcomers will inherit the living water.

11.2. Two pillars of God’s temple
Another passage shows that there are two overcomers.
Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name. (Revelation 3:12)
It is the verse we saw earlier, and Jesus said that he who overcomes would be the pillar of God's temple. What is the pillar of God's temple?
When God had Solomon build a temple, He let him construct two pillars in front of the temple. He erected the pillars at the portico of the temple. The pillar to the south he named Jakin and the one to the north Boaz. (1 Kings 7:21)
These two pillars represent the overcomers. So, we can see that there are two who overcome.

11.3. The anointed
God foretold the relationship between Jesus and the olive tree in Zechariah.
Then I asked the angel, "What are these two olive trees on the right and the left of the lampstand?" Again I asked him, "What are these two olive branches beside the two gold pipes that pour out golden oil?" He replied, "Do you not know what these are?" "No, my lord," I said. So he said, "These are the two who are anointed to serve the Lord of all the earth." (Zechariah 4:11-14)
The prophet Zechariah saw visions of two olive trees transferring golden oil to a pure gold lampstand. He asked the angel what this meant. The angel told him that the two olive trees were the "two who are anointed".
The pure gold lampstand was represented by seven candlesticks in Revelation, meaning seven churches or saints (Revelation 1:20). That is why the two olive trees deliver this oil to the pure gold lampstand, the saints.

11.4. Golden oil
JIn Zechariah's prophecy, the olive tree delivers golden oil to the pure gold lampstand. The pure gold lampstand has seven branches, which has the same meaning as the seven churches of Revelation. In other words, the pure gold lampstand symbolises the saints who become heavenly soldiers. The olive tree gives the saints golden oil, which refers to the spring water of life made of Jesus' blood. God gives the overcomer the fountain of living water, and the overcomer, the olive tree, delivers this living water, golden oil, to the saints to wash their sins and make heavenly soldiers for harvest.
11.5. Two witnesses of Jesus
When Jesus was on earth, He did not know about the two olive trees nor about the end coming upon the completion of the last harvest. Therefore, He spoke of the Second Coming at the time (Matthew 16:28). However, God had predestined the work of two olive trees, prophesying in Zechariah.
Jesus learned about the two olive trees from God's book and wrote about them in the book of Revelation. And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.
These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. (Revelation 11:3-5)
Jesus foretold two olive trees and two lampstands as His two witnesses. They are to prophesy 1,260 days, which will be explained in detail later.
“Lampstand” indicates a church; seven lampstands are seven churches.
The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches. (Revelation 1:20)
These seven churches were the churches of Jesus' day of choice to symbolize the pure gold lampstand of Zechariah. These two lampstands, which Jesus called two witnesses, represent two churches of which the members follow two olive trees. They are taught by the two olive trees and serve as witnesses of Jesus. The two olive trees harvest of these two churches in the last days. Indeed, there are two overcomers, but fulfilling the harvest mission is the work of the second overcomer. Therefore, it is the second overcomer, the second olive tree, who will complete the harvest and receive authority over all nations.
