[Truth] 10. Who is the overcomer

10. Who is the overcomer?

10.1. The overcomer
Earlier, we saw it was foretold that “the Ancient of Days”, or Jesus, gave eternal power over all nations to “the one like a son of man” (Daniel 7:13-14).
Who is this one like a son of man? He is foretold as an overcomer in the book of Revelation.
To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations--'He will rule them with an iron scepter; he will dash them to pieces like pottery'--just as I have received authority from my Father. (Revelation 2:26-27)
Jesus promises that if the overcomer fulfils his mission, He will give him authority over all nations, a power He says He has received from God.
Since the one like a son of man who has authority over all nations is the overcomer, we know that the overcomer's mission is the end-time harvest.
Jesus gave seven promises to he who overcomes. Let's look at some of them.

10.2. Third covenant: the new name written on the white stone
Jesus said He would give a white stone to he who overcomes.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it. (Revelation 2:17)
The new name written on the stone is a secret only known to the recipient.

10.3. The white stone
What is the white stone? The white stone is Jesus.
In Zechariah, a seven-eyed stone is foretold.
See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua! There are seven eyes on that one stone, and I will engrave an inscription on it,' says the LORD Almighty, 'and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day. (Zechariah 3:9)
Jehovah said that if one stone had seven eyes, he would remove the sins of the earth in one day.
We saw before that when Jesus ascended and appeared before God, he had seven eyes (See Revelation 5:6).
Therefore, the seven-eyed stone is one symbol that refers to Jesus.
The white stone that Jesus gives him who overcomes symbolises Jesus, Himself, meaning that Jesus will entrust him with the work and be with him to complete it.

10.4. The new name
Jesus said that a new name is written on the stone, and only the recipient can know it.
The name represents the word of God.
His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. (Revelation 19:12-13)
When Jesus went to war with the Devil, He had a name that only He knew, which was the word of God.
That is, the word of God written in a book sealed with seven seals that God gave Him.
Jesus said it would be told him who overcomes to reveal his mission: to harvest at the end of time.

10.5. Sixth Covenant: Name of the New Jerusalem
In the sixth covenant, Jesus said to write the name of the New Jerusalem on the overcomer.
Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name. (Revelation 3:12)
As mentioned earlier, New Jerusalem means the wife of the Lamb, the heavenly soldiers (Revelation 21:9-10). So, Jesus said that he would give the names of the heavenly soldiers to the overcomer.
Why would Jesus tell him this?
He who overcomes must harvest at the end of time, so Jesus will teach him the result of the harvest, the list of saints who have become soldiers of heaven through him.

10.6. Fourth Covenant: Authority over All Nations
As we have seen, Jesus has promised the overcomer authority over all nations for fulfilling his mission (Revelation 2:26).
All nations represent the 144,000 kingdoms that will be formed after judgment. Therefore, the overcomer will reign over all who were born after the foundation of the world.

10.7. Seventh Covenant: The Throne of Jesus
Jesus promised His throne to he who overcomes.
To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. (Revelation 3:21)
Jesus said that He would have the overcomer sit on His throne, just as Jesus overcame and sat on the throne of God.
In reality, Jesus sat on the right throne of God, not on the throne of God (Psalm 110:1). So, sitting together on God's throne is symbolic of having power over the world of God.
Like Jesus, he who overcomes will become a tremendous being in the future to rule the world of God. How is this different from the authority over all nations?
All nations refer to the kingdom of heaven. This kingdom comprises 144,000 kingdoms in which people who are saved after judgment will be divided into. Therefore, to rule over all nations is to rule over all people born after the creation of the world.
In contrast, to rule the world of God is to dominate the place of God where ordinary people cannot go.
After judgment, God will make a new heaven and a new earth.
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. (Revelation 21:1)
The new heaven is where God will be, and the new earth is where the saved people will live; these are in different places.
The earth does not mean a new world of flesh, but a place where the saved souls live that is distinguished from the site where God is.
Therefore, the last harvester has not only the authority over all nations but also the high power over the kingdom of God, akin to the authority Jesus received (Psalm 2:7-9, 110:1). Thus, “the one like a son of man” who has been commissioned for the last harvest will become like Jesus, “the son of man” (Matthew 25:31).
