[God's Providence] 20. How many overcomers are there?
20. How
many overcomers are there?
Last
time, we learned that the overcomer would sit together with Jesus on His
throne. This time, we'll look at how many overcomers there are.
You have
looked at the seven promises given to the overcomer, and you may have been
surprised at how amazing they are.
He who
overcomes will receive tremendous power over both the new heaven and the new
earth.
But is
there more than one overcomer?
There are
actually two.
In fact,
God has appointed two olive trees as servants at the end of time.
To
overcome is to be qualified as an olive tree.
The
prophet Zechariah saw a vision of a pure gold lampstand and the two olive
trees. (Zechariah 4:2-3)
He asked
the angel what the two olive trees were, and he heard that they were two men to
serve the Lord of the world. (Zechariah 4:11-14)
When
Jesus was on earth, he never spoke about olive trees.
But after
looking into the book of God, he came to realize that two olive trees were
needed.
So in the
book of Revelation, he announced that he would set two olive trees as his
witnesses. (Revelation 11:3-4)
And he
revealed that he needed overcomers to set them up as the olive trees.
Since
there are two olive trees, two overcomers are needed.
We can
know that there are two overcomers from the covenant that the overcomer
receives the spring of the water of life. (Revelation 21:6-7)
The work
of this living water is planned to happen twice. (Zechariah 14:7-8)
Therefore,
there are two overcomers who inherit the living water.
Also, he
who overcomes becomes the pillar of God's temple, and there were two pillars in
front of Solomon's temple. (Revelation 3:12, 1 Kings 7:21)
These
pillars are a symbol of the overcomer. Therefore, we can see that there are two
overcomers.
This
time, we saw there are two overcomers who have been foretold as two olive
trees. Next time, let me tell you which of them the one to harvest is.
