[Truth] 9. Who is the last harvester?
9. Who is the last harvester?
The
heavenly army is not yet complete. Jesus is waiting for the remaining number of
holy soldiers to be found.
The Bible
foretells the harvest of heavenly soldiers in the end times.
I looked, and there
before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one "like a son
of man" with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand.
Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who
was sitting on the cloud, "Take your sickle and reap, because the time to
reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe." So he who was seated
on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.
(Revelation 14:14-16)
The name
of the one sitting on the cloud is “one like a son of man”, with a sickle in his hand. He is
the harvester in the last days.
When the
one like a son of man harvests, an angel watches as the grain ripens in the
temple. When the grain is ripe, the angel emerges from the temple and tells the
man to harvest.
This
ripening grain in the temple represents the saints who will become heavenly
soldiers.
When the
one like a son of man appears and finishes the harvest, God's work on earth
will end.
9.2. Three Beings
of Daniel
The one
like a son of man is foretold in the book of Daniel also.
In my vision at night I looked, and there before
me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached
the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority,
glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language
worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away,
and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed. (Daniel 7:13-14)
Among
Daniel's visions, “the one like a son of man” was led to “the Ancient of Days” and received everlasting authority
over all nations.
Theologians
refer to “the one like a son of man” as Jesus, and “the Ancient of Days” as God.
But the
following verse shows that it is not the case.
As I watched, this horn was waging war against the
saints and defeating them, until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced
judgment in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came when they
possessed the kingdom. (Daniel 7:21-22)
In this
verse, we read “the Most High”. He is God. The conclusion, then, is that “the Ancient of Days” is not God.
Since
Jesus existed before creation, He is the Ancient of Days.
In the
verse above, the Ancient of Days is repaying the enemies for the saints of God.
Earlier,
I showed you a story of martyrs asking Jesus when He would pay back their
enemies (Revelation 6:10). God's saints are these martyrs. Thus, we can understand
that Jesus is the “the Ancient of Days” who repays their enemies.
The one
like a son of man is the one who is commissioned to harvest.
When he completes
the harvest, Jesus will come and take the chosen ones, and the one like a son
of man will receive eternal authority from Jesus over all nations.
“All nations” indicates the 144,000 kingdoms
where those saved at the judgment will live.
The one
like a son of man, commissioned to harvest, is the Reverend Lee Young-soo of
the Holy Eden Church, to whom God showed two visions of harvesting chestnuts
and grapes.
These
visions can be found in the "Visions from God" on the Holy Eden
Church site (http://ieden.kr/en).
The core
of God's providence so far has been taught by Reverend Lee.
Even if
the Bible appears complex, one core message is simple. That is, God needs an
army to destroy the Devil, and the one who completes that army is foretold as a
harvester.
